These fun baseball, golf, and fishing themed Father's Day cards are sure to appeal to a dad (or kid) who loves sports.

To make these cards, kids will need basic craft supplies such construction paper, markers or crayons, a pencil, scissors, and white glue or glue sticks.

Baseball Card

This card is sure to score a homerun with a dad who loves baseball.

  1. Draw a catcher’s mitt on a piece of red or brown paper, and cut it out.
  2. Draw lines on the mitt between each finger, using marker or crayon.
  3. Cut a circle from white paper that will fit in the palm of the catcher’s mitt.
  4. Draw small red stitching lines on the white circle to make it look like a baseball.
  5. Glue the baseball to the palm of the catcher’s mitt.
  6. Glue the baseball mitt to a piece of contrasting background paper (optional).
  7. Write a Father’s day message on the card, such as “Dad, I’m glad we’re a team!”

Golf Card

This card is made just “fore!” the dad, or grandpa, who loves golf.

  1. Cut a piece of dark green paper in half the long way.
  2. Place a piece of blue paper so that the long edge is facing you.
  3. Glue the green paper to the bottom half of the blue paper.
  4. Cut an oval of light green paper and glue it to the dark green paper to make the putting green (optional).
  5. Draw lines on the green paper with a green marker or crayon to look like grass.
  6. Draw a sun on the blue paper, or use scraps of yellow paper and glue them to the card.
  7. Cut a small triangle of contrasting paper to make the flag. Write the number 1 on the flag using a bold marker or crayon.
  8. Glue the flag to the blue part of the card. Draw a pole for the flag, or cut a small strip of colored paper for the pole and glue it in place.
  9. Draw a circle around the base of the pole using marker or crayon.
  10. Write a Father’s day message on the card, such as “Dad you’re number:” next to the 1 on the flag.

Fishing Card

You won’t need to fish for compliments with this cute Father’s Day card. It’s perfect for letting dad know he’s a great catch.

  1. Trim the top (long) of a piece of blue paper to make it wavy.
  2. Draw two fish on yellow or orange paper and cut them out.
  3. Draw eyes and smiles on the fish using crayons or markers.
  4. Glue the fish to the wavy blue paper.
  5. Draw seaweed or other undersea creatures on the blue paper, if desired.
  6. Write a Father’s day message on the card, such as “Dad, thanks for always being here to catch me!”
